As a parent or guardian of a participant in the programs organized by NFL Flag Columbus and NFL Flag, I understand and accept the responsibility to uphold the principles of sportsmanship, respect, and fair play.
By supporting my child's participation in NFF activities, I agree to abide by the following Parent Code of Conduct:
1. Support and Respect: I will support and encourage my child, as well as all players, coaches, officials, and spectators, regardless of their race, sex, creed, or ability. I will refrain from engaging in any behavior that is disrespectful, discriminatory, or offensive.
2. Promoting Sportsmanship: I will promote good sportsmanship by demonstrating positive support for all participants, both on and off the field. This includes applauding good plays by both teams, showing respect for opponents and accepting the outcomes of games with grace.
3. Encouraging a Positive Attitude: I will help foster a positive attitude in my child, emphasizing the importance of perseverance, resilience, and respect for others. I will encourage them to learn from their mistakes and setbacks, and to always strive for improvement.
4. Prioritizing Safety: I will prioritize the safety and well-being of all participants, including my own child. I will ensure that my child follows all safety guidelines and instructions provided by coaches and officials, and I will not condone any behavior that puts themselves or others at risk of injury.
5. Emphasizing Fair Play: I will emphasize the importance of playing by the rules and competing fairly. I will discourage any behavior that goes against the principles of fair play, including cheating, taunting, or unsportsmanlike conduct.
6. Respecting Facilities: I will ensure that my child respects the facilities where NFF activities take place. I will instruct them not to damage or deface any property, and to clean up after themselves and dispose of trash properly.
7. Adhering to Policies: I will adhere to all NFF policies and procedures, including the Player Code of Conduct, the Refund Policy, and any other rules or guidelines specific to the program in which my child is participating.
8. Cooperating with Officials: I will cooperate with coaches, officials, and other parents to ensure a positive and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. I will communicate respectfully and listen to feedback from coaches and officials.
9. Drug and Alcohol-Free Environment: I understand that NFF activities are drug and alcohol-free environments. I will not use or possess any illegal substances or alcohol before, during, or after NFF events.
10. Representing NFF: I understand that my actions as a parent reflect not only on myself but also on NFF and its values. I will conduct myself in a manner that upholds the reputation and integrity of NFF.
I acknowledge that failure to comply with the Parent Code of Conduct may result in disciplinary action, as determined by NFF officials. I agree to abide by the decisions of NFF officials regarding disciplinary matters.
I have read and understand the Parent Code of Conduct and agree to comply with its terms. I understand that my child's participation in NFF activities is contingent upon my adherence to this Code of Conduct.
